Michael A. Deck, MD – Medical Director, President and Chief Pathologist, MD Pathology

Dr. Deck is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Parkland Memorial Hospital. Starting MD Pathology in 1992, Dr. Deck has built a high quality, patient-focused group, serving the local Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. He currently represents both local and national Pathology communities served as the President of the Texas Society of Pathologists in 2011 and as a delegate for the College of American Pathologists. As a leader in the medical community, he has served as a President of the Texas Health Plano Medical Staff. He enjoys computer programming, photography, and spending time with his three grandchildren.

Dr. Calle-Rodrigue is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology and has subspecialty board certification in Cytopathology. She received her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Ochsner Medical Foundation. Her fellowship training includes Oncological Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Surgical Pathology at the Mayo Clinic and Cytopathology at the Medical College of Virginia. When not tackling tough cases, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her two sons.

Dr. Beckett is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology and has subspecialty board certification in Cytopathology. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her residency and a fellowship in Cytopathology at the University of Virginia. She enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
Rachel Rucker-Schmidt, MD – Staff Pathologist

Dr. Rucker-Schmidt received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her residency in both anatomic and clinical pathology and received fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Breast Pathology from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, MA. Though she trained in the Northeast, she returned home to Dallas to join MD Pathology in 2008, and has shared her love of breast pathology in public forums, including speaking at local cancer support groups and multidisciplinary conferences. She enjoys cooking, watching old Law & Order episodes and spending time with her family.
Christopher M. Schuler, MD – Staff Pathologist, Assistant Medical Director, Flow Cytometry

Dr. Schuler is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with a sub- specialty board certification in Hematopathology. He received his degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and finished his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, Pitt County Memorial Hospital. He completed fellowship training in Hematopathology at The Ohio State University and Gastrointestinal Pathology from Caris Diagnostics. Dr. Schuler joined MD Pathology in 2009, bringing in on-site 10-color flow cytometry. He is kept busy by his two young children and a new found love for playing ice hockey.

Dr. Shahab is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with sub-specialty training in hematopathology. He received his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Shahab completed a surgical pathology fellowship from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center followed by a hematopathology fellowship training from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After completion of his training, he served in the roles of assistant and associate professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Before joining MD Pathology in 2008, he was a staff pathologist and medical director of the hematology laboratory at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Shahab has published many papers in peer reviewed journals on hematopathology and immunology related topics. His interests outside are photography, music and spending time with his family.
Benjamin J. Williams, MD – Staff Pathologist

Dr. Williams is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from University of Texas Southwestern, Parkland Memorial Hospital and Baylor University Medical Center. Before joining MD Pathology in 2002, Dr. Williams worked in private practice in East Texas. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the laboratory at Texas Health Allen.
